I said corny in an endearing way. Not corny like "wow this is so cheesy I can't listen to it".

Pac would be the most played artist in Cali slammers or wherever in Cali in that matter. Esp. back in the day. Even Dear Mama or Thugs get lonely too. In Cali most of the black folks & all of them who are gang related live & die by G codes & strict rules & I'm sure Mockingbird would make any hard motha'fucka from out there look really bad though.
There is no such G codes & rules in NY but huge parts of any of the 5 boroughs plus Yonkers are gang related & Mockingbird wouldn't be a favorite songs out there either.

Like I said it's that regions thing... I don't have idea what region could he be from though.

The same way people there listen to Dear Mama because they love their mommas is the same reason they listen to Mockingbird cus they love their child. It's really a suburban/wannabe mind state to think this song embarassing or gonna make me look bad i feel. Your average person who is real will do them with out worrying wat other thinking. Keep in mind a lotta people get trapped into a certain lifestyle by the system because they want to be able to provide for their daughter or son.

I hate Mockingbird. Hailey's Song is a more badass song, and still holds the same good intentions.

You mean that stupid-ass trying to make the album look like Slim Shady LP meets Relapse? Yeah, he posted a bunch of shitty fake lines supposedly by his "friend" who may or may not be an excuse to post any random shit about the album.

Sorry, a little off topic, but how the fuck do you guy's make the backward's e?

On topic. I also have never looked at Recovery as a soft album, but as far as I have seen from comment's (I think mostly from youtube), I think alot of people do consider it a softer album considering what he has put out in the past, but as previously stated, they are most likely the same type of people who think Love the Way You lie is a love type song. I really don't know what to expect from this album, but I do think it may be a SSLP/Relapse style with out the accent.
If you had one shot, or one opportunity, to seize everything you ever wanted, would you capture it? Or just let it slip?

Hey guys. Long time lurker. I know you're gonna get a lot of that in the months to come.

Thought I'd add to the madness here.

I know people are freaking out about lack of news, but I just read *today* that Kanye West has a new album coming out this summer? Now, I'm not big on many other hip hop artists, but in reading his wiki page, apparently he announced he was working on new material back in late February. But it was similar to the Em situation. Mentioned he was working on a new album, no title, no release date, etc.

Now it seems last week he tweeted that his album will be out June 18th?

So why are people freaking out that Em won't be out in the summer?

Kanye is coming out in 6 weeks if that date holds up and I personally haven't heard any singles or anything except the fact that he is indeed coming out soon.

Why would it be different for Em? I can totally see news in mid-late May or even as late as early June for a late July release.

I know some of you guys think that's impossible, but this is Eminem. His audience is built in. There will be people who buy it just because it's him, and for the others, I'm sure six, seven weeks of promotion and a single/video will be enough for people to decide whether or not they want to buy it.

Basically, just chill. This guy never leaves his house. I'm pretty sure he wouldn't sign up for those summer shows to do 3 year old material. The album will be out in the summer. Just my two cents.

I know we're all getting impatient here but an album in July is still totally possible.

If nothing happens by then, we'll be able to hear how he sounds like on that collab.

Of course not the content, mostly the voice and delivery.

Wait, what?

What has happened with the song called "Champions" which is on the 50 album? What's up with this album in general?
