If this week isnt news coming i gave up hope for an album before the august shows.

Why lol?

It's frustrating, the wait always is...

But we're in mid May; mid August is 3 months away...

They could even announce title and release date say... June 10th, single comes June 18th and album comes July 21st... just in time... there's no way he's this close to finishing an album and is going to go and perform Recovery tracks in 2013, and NOT come out with the album lol :/

Also, the picture with Chris Rock - obviously for a skit or something... is a sign that he really is wrapping it up; Dre said he was 'finishing it up' a while ago, and he probably records skits and shit last, once he has all the tracks he wants and in the order he wants... so, good sign indeed.

Honestly, not releasing a single solo song in 3 years? That's too much to take in. Even in his original hiatus we at least had some solo stuff.

I really hope it's worth it, I feel like it will be worth it though. Em can release it in 2014 for all I care, I just want him to make the shit that he genuinely likes.

Yeah, well he knows it's been a wait, which is probably why he's trying to make sure it's a classic.

He's not stupid, he knows this album is crucial...

He came out the gate with three amazing classics that all built on the last... then came with a half-assed mess; then came with a nearly brilliant, slightly tarnished near-classic that he abandoned ship due to reaction... then came with a great album, albeit messy and definitely not a classic... none of his last 3 albums have been classic... but, we came to expect every album he dropped to be one. But now it's crunch time, he knows this album has to be THE SHIT that captures a moment.

lets be realistic, 2 months (i say 2-2 and a half months, it was like this the last 3 albums, and i think this album needs his 2 months minimum to promote, he was gone for too long) minimum before the album drops, and i assume the album wont be dropping too close before the tour in august, so i think the album will drop at latest july 30th or unlikely august 5th. so july 30th minus 2-2,5 months would be this or maybe even next week. they dont rush the album to be released before the tour, they wont squeeze it in a week before the tour.

The majority of skits are usually made before the relevant track or immediately after, rather than being left until the end.
The Lounge skit on the SSLP was made before My Fault, influencing Eminem to make the song, whilst the Steve Burman skits are obviously made immediately after their relevant tracks because these are usually the final tracks Em records.
It depends completely on what type of skits Em makes when assessing when they are made, and it is completely wrong to assume that all are left until the end.


Everything we know about this album is pure conjecture. The bottom line is that it would be seemingly illogical for Eminem to not perform new material in the summer, however the marketing for this album is well into the real of illogical, so the lack of information and the possibility of Eminem performing old material in the summer is in no way surprising.

As people are saying it doesn't add up, if hes as close to completing his new album as we think he is why would he perform old stuff at the concerts? It doesn't make sense to perform at huge events with tracks we all know and have abused, then to release his album a few months later.

I reckon news this month has to be, or he will just perform 1 or 2 new songs at the concerts as a little snippet to build greater hype. Fuck knows... Not long now until this album achieves the detox status
