What classes are you taking this semester?

Talk about what you have learned in school/college/university, and discuss with others.
Or you can simply talk negative about your teachers/boss.

Here in most of Europe, you pay your rights to enter in the university which isn't even that expensive (probably around 1000$, and you can get help from the government) for every year and then you have to pay for your own books and shit but that's it.

I'm so thankful I live here.

That sounds like a good fucking system.

Here in America, it's expensive as fuck. For example, in-state tuition for me was $9000 a semester ($18,000 a year) for 4 or 5 years, just to get your Bachelor's degree. That's $64,000 over the course of 4 years. Obviously, most can't afford that out of pocket, so you can apply for student loans. Which I did. But here's the FUCKING catch. You have to pay those student loans back WITH interest. It's fucking retarded.

America doesn't want the lower class being anything but lower class.

Australia rules.

Yeah, that sounds good. I get a year after university to begin paying it back before interest is added.

I should add the University I attend is ranked in the top 3% in the word.

It's the University Of Newcastle

I only pointed it out because we have world class universities that are accessible to anyone who achieves high enough marks to be accepted. Where as in America, there are obviously some great ones but not worth what they cost.

Though, being a "Harvard Grad" is always going to be more impressive than a "UoN Grad" lol

In Sweden, you pay $0, irrespective of what University you're attending. In fact, the government provides grant assistance - about $450 a month - to every student, given that he/she finishes a certain amount of classes each semester. As a student, you're also able to borrow money at a very low interest (last year, to the extent that arbitrage opportunities were present, lol.)

Oh, and classes for this semester:
- Probability theory
- Database technology
- Data mining
- Visualization
- Managing and Organizations
- Financial Accounting
- Corporate Finance
- Macroeconomics II

I still think Australia and New Zealand are moving towards America - in terms of affordability being the deciding factor in entering University - rather than ability.

We've got the same system, but it's still hella expensive. We still got to pay that shit back maine, I'm anxious as fuck about it.

Maybe I should have aspired to be psychologist with every other suburban white girl that feels obligated to go to uni after high school.

That does sound good, but I haven't personally checked into OSAP. My family did it for me (my sister, considering she's already gone through OSAP so she's familiar with the application, and my mother considering she's been everything to me financially my entire life). If you could actually provide a link that would be helpful. I googled it myself so that I could check in with my mom/sister, but to no avail.
