We all know Shady is that crazy guy that does crazy shit, says crazy shit, is funny, goofy and wouldn't bother to offer you mushrooms or even kill you. Slim represents that certain side of Em's personality.
However, all of a sudden, after being allegedly killed at the end of Curtain Call, he came back along with Eminem on 09' Relapse as a psychopath. Not that we haven't had some signs and tendencies that he might go that rout, but Shady's is about not caring about anyone and doing stuff that many wouldn't. Listen to SSLP to more details. So here it comes my question V (Main thread question in the paragraph below)
What If Relapse had introduced us a new alter ego, the psychopath side that Em developed during his hiatus?
It would be completely fresh, as people wouldn't see some tracks as Em trying to revive Shady, but, instead, as a completely new invention from this great rapper. Imagine the hype it would create! Shady fucked the world on Em's debut, this one could do the same. All new, all fresh, ''It's like starting over''.
In this case, the psycho would have his own name, it could even be a nickname. His background history could be that he was ''created'' when Em was on drugs and on a dark place and he kept contemplating those crazy thoughts about killing and abusing people. When he left Popsomp Hills, he relapsed and let the alter ego take over. The result? Eminem coming back with a new alter ego and a new, conceptual album: Relapse. Shit, you can even say that, in this case, The (Insert psycho name here) LP would be better.
Some changes would have to be made. All shady references would have to be changed to the new character, turning the hook on ''Hello'', for instance, to ''Hello, allow me to introduce myself, my name is (insert psycho name here)''. ''Music Box'' and ''Buffalo Bill'' would be on the album, and maybe ''Things get Worse'', as they would take some songs that doesn't mach the concept.
My Darling would be the intro, once altered to represent the birth of this new alter-ego.
Then, the psycho personality would tell it's story. It's heavily altered from reality, as he's crazy, may I remind you. I'm talking about ''My Mom'', ''Insane'' and ''Badpipes from Badhdad''. Then, the new character introduction ''Hello'', and it's first venture into doing crazy stuff ''Same Song and Dance''. ''Bufallo Bill'' would take ''We Made You'' place, which would lead to the ''Medicine Ball'' power trip. ''Stay Wide Awake'', obviously, wouldn't be touched, as ''Old Time's Sake'' is replaced by ''Things Get Worse''.
''Must Be The Ganja'' is there, as ''Music Box'' follows it. Throughout the album, you can hear pills taking/popping noise on songs transitions, and things get heavy on this track, as it results on a overdose, portrayed in the ''Mr. Mathers'' skit. ''Deja Vu'' kicks in, as the beginning of the awakening. Then, Eminem is going back to his house after leaving the hospital, and that's the theme of a new skit. Em put's hes key in the door and see dead bodies all over his house. The end to the album, ''3 AM'' (intro of the song altered to suit it), closes this complete eighteen track masterpiece. The ''Evil Rises'' chant on the end is the darkest way to end an album ever.
The tracklist would be:
01) Dr. West (Skit)
02) My Darling
03) My Mom
04) Insane
05) Bagpipes From Baghdad
06) Hello
07) Tonya (Skit)
08) Same Song & Dance
09) Buffalo Bill
10) Medicine Ball
11) Paul (Skit)
12) Stay Wide Awake
13) Music Box
14) Must Be The Ganja
15) Mr. Mathers (Skit)
16) Deja Vu
17) Riding Home (Skit)
18) 3 A.M.
19) We Made You (Bonus Track)
20) Old Time's Sake (Bonus Track)
That way, the accent would not bother anyone, since it's a thing of the psycho, not Em himself. It would be a unique thing to represent when he's in that personality. That's why his voice on ''My Darling'' is the ''normal'' one. With Relapse representing this, the no-accent Recovery would have it's clear way to represent the full-time Eminem comeback, as he wasn't any alter ego on that one. Then MMLP2 is released, and we get that personal feel, similar to what the original MMLP showed us about Marshall himself. Shady is still nowhere to be found, and that could be the theme of the 9th album or even a song in MMLP2.
Thoughts? Suggestions to the character's name?
