I once spilled water on my iPhone and it wouldn't connect till like 3 days, my guess is that the water has to dry out? iunno

I think you're fucked. I had a similar problem with another piece of technology and it's yet to fix itself. It's been well over a year. I'd suggest putting it in rice? I've seen that work with smaller phones.

do you have insurance on it? if so, there will be a $150 insurance deductable (if you have sprint)

if no insurance, you may have to buy a new phone

its most likely gotten a small amount of water in it, so it didnt short out, but it will act weird. if you lucky it will be ok soon, if not well your fucked :/
