A lot of good guys neglect their daughters at times...he was a drug addict for a while. As long as he grew up and realized what he was truly missing out on, fatherhood, I'm sure he did become one of the nicest in the world.

Thank you! I'm sure when he was in rehab there was never a day where he didn't think about his daughters.
You thought I was lyin' when I said I think that I'm crossin' the line again?
I've lost my mind, caution oh God I think I've just thought of another fucking line

Sounds to me like he has always done his best for her, despite his own issues. He has always tried to put her first.

That doesn't change the fact that kids don't forget. Who knows if Em was violent or not during his pills days. Truth is, ever since he became famous he started neglecting his own family. Yes he would see Hailie once in a while but it's not really the same as having a father who's close to you.

He was touring too. Don't forget that.

Now I know what they mean by "stans", reading some of the responses in here makes me think some of you actually live with Em or your influential to his life

That's not fair, bro.
Only thing that kept him going when things went downhill was her.

P.S. We don't know their personal lives, they could be talking to each other on the phone everyday for all we know.

It's not fair but it's true.. Calling him "one of the nicest" man is very stannish. We don't know him. But we do know that he was away most of the time, recording, touring, being caught up in the fame.

Then being drugged up. Then going to rehab.. And now he probably can have a normal relationship with his family since he's like semi-retired at this point.

He used to fly home between shows just to spend time with her and he talked to her all the time on the phone when he was away. He never left Detroit, it's not like he was far away. He's always been a home-body. He's even taken her on tour and to the studio a lot of time. I don't think he was as neglectful as you think, Trimss.

"Calling him "one of the nicest" man is very stannish. We don't know him"
That goes both ways. You can't say that he wasn't because we don't know that either.

You don't know how he was at home, but you do know that he was very busy.. Lawsuits, music, tours, parties.. When he was younger Em was wild. And also addicted. I don't think he was the worst dad ever, and I'm not saying that at all.. I'm just saying he's not "one of the nicest" man either.

But he did a great job at protecting and keeping Hailie away from the papparazis.

How the hell is that stannish? Em has said countless times, that he really isn't like he is in his songs. He doesn't cuss around his kids, and he doesn't allow any kind of profanity in his house. if he wasn't a nice guy wouldn't you think he would cuss around them as much as wants? if hw wasn't a nice guy do you honestly think he would've written Stan, Hailie's Song, Sing For The Moment, Like Toy Soldiers, Mockingbird, Beautiful, Going Through Changes, Space Bound, or You're Never Over?

Honestly, the nicest ones are also the craziest. He has never ever acted out on those actions, he just releases his anger in his music instead of onto people. I believe he genuinely is a really nice and cool cat in real life.

SHADY TILL' I DIE ‏@eminemshadybaby 4h
@NateKane247 is it true that Em was at Hailie's homecoming??

Nathan Kane Mathers ‏@NateKane247 2h
@eminemshadybaby lol no not even close

I doubt, a lot of people said he was present

The guy who won Homecoming said he met Em there so I guess he was behind the scenes somewhere letting her have the spotlight.
