Encore = content makes it bad. Production sounds great - sounds like an Em album.
Recovery = content is great. Production makes it bad - sounds nothing like an Em album, but more like tin rattling with Em rhyming over it.

em said he made encore during a self loathing period, and i think he made recovery as knee jerk reaction to his core fans hating on relapse.. but now hes made mmlp2 with that good old fuck you mentallity of the golden era

At least Recovery has a certain quality standard whether people like it or not. On Encore they let Em hit rock bottom with some of those songs and released it anyway

I love Evil Deeds, Puke, Like Toy Soldiers, Encore, etc. it's not his best work, but personally I prefer Encore over Relapse.

And is that second sequel thing true or were you guys trolling lol

Encore out of the context of Em's discography may be below average at certain points but within context, it is a very relevant and important album. I just don't think it is accurate to call the album "terrible". That, to me, sounds like a gross exaggeration.

I've said this for years, regardless of the leaks the three bonus songs should have replaced Rain Man, Big Weenie, and Ass like that and the album would've been awesome with the worst tracks being My First Single and Puke, two songs that are actually decent to me.

Like you said, if you desconsider the shit songs on the middle section it's already a nice album. If you add the bonus tracks, it turns out to be a good album.

Encore had some gems on it (Evil Deeds, Never Enough, Yellow Brick Road, Mosh, Spend Some Time, Mockingbird, Crazy In Love, Encore/Curtains Down, Love You More, Ricky Ticky Toc, and We As Americans), it's a fun album to listen to, but overall it's fucking garbage. It's definitely his worst album.

Although, Rain Man and One Shot 2 Shot are okay.

I don't get the Recovery hatred. The production is awful admittedly but lyrically it is very good and I think it's an album Em had to make. It does feel rushed after the negative reaction to Relapse but I really enjoy how much emotion he put into that album. Dre should've handled production just like he did with Relapse.
