Rihanna hasn't dropped a lot of songs since her album was released so her fans are eagerly anticipating this too. It's gonna help a lot. Eminem's buzz + Rihanna's buzz + Mainstream audience (they'll probably love it..) + Radio plays = I'm predicting it might sell 400 000.

Over on the Digital Songs chart, Eminem's new single "Rap God" bumps Lorde's "Royals" from No. 1, as the former arrives with 270,000 downloads sold. It's the third song to get a digital release from his upcoming album, "The Marshall Mathers LP 2." It follows "Berzerk" (No. 2 debut with 362,000) and "Survival" (No. 7 bow with 112,000).

It debuted on the 7th position. I think it won't get to no1. :(

Lol Rap God did very good for a promo track. It got people interested in Em again, and they're following it with The Monster which MIGHT be really big.

All 3 songs did great... :worship: I expected Rap God to sell some more but that was good enough to be honest.

Very impressive that "Rap God" debuted within top 10 on Billboard...

I hope that shows Em 100% that today - there is no distinction between explicit / hit, you don't need to dumb or water anything down. As "Rap God" sounds like a fucking album track... I'm really surprised it was a single, but top 10 within Billboard for such a verbose 'rappy rap rap', aggressive track is brilliant.

A shame he couldn't have that confidence in leaving "Survival" off @ huge predictable hooks.

Eminem blasts onto the Hot 100 at No. 7 with "Rap God," which starts on Digital Songs at No. 1 with 270,000. It also opens atop Rap Songs. The track is the third to receive a digital release ahead of his album "The Marshall Mathers LP," due Nov. 5. "Berzerk" logged a No. 3 Hot 100 and No. 2 Digital Songs debut with 362,000, followed by "Survival" last week (No. 17/No. 7, 112,000). "Rap God" is Eminem's first Digital Songs No. 1 as a lead artist since "Love the Way You Lie" (featuring Rihanna) spent seven weeks in charge in 2010.

Eminem's new song also marks his seventh top 10 start on the Hot 100, pushing him past Lil Wayne (six) for the most among men in the chart's 55-year history. Among all acts, only Taylor Swift has made more such grand entrances (11). (She'll aim to add to her sum next week with new song "Sweeter Than Fiction," from the movie "One Chance.")

I agreee with EminemBase, time has changed now, and Rap God proves that there're still a lot of people want that straight Hip-Hop Em, Berzerk somehow kinda ruins the initial hype imo.
