Man, Recovery would have been classic IMO if he used beats from Relapse with some of the subject matter on Recovery. Would have probably made him inspired to write less corny lines too.

I've heard a lot of rap. During the years Em was on hiatus, I had no choice but to go back and listen to anyone and everyone in rap who was considered lyrical. No one went off like Em did on verse 2, in my opinion. That includes Tech and any other underground dudes that now get more love on here than Em.

That "he's taping, he's biting me, he's laughing like it's funny" structure went on for pretty much the entire verse. And it wasn't nonsensical lyrics that just happened to rhyme. They all made sense and painted a vivid picture.

It was like what he did with Bully (three verses, all uniform) but way sicker.

That verse was no joke bro.

Dude, not to sound egotistical, but I've made more technical verses than that verse. It didn't 'go over my head' because there ain't shit to it. If y'all actually did this, and understood the craft, you would clearly see the house of cards structure of that verse. It's decent, but go over heads good?
