I wonder how planned Rap God was. If Berzerk/Survival made more of a splash critically/commercially, do you think they would have dropped it?

maybe it was one big mind fuck by em on his fans. drops survival, people are convinced recovery 2 is on the way, drops berzerk, people are still not convinced that ems got it anymore, then blam, he drops rap god and peoples jaws are scraping the floor..

Haha true. I don't know. This whole album cycle has been very weird.

First they release Survival and say it's not a first single but a promo single for CoD.

Then they drop Berzerk and call it the first single.

Then the track list comes out and Survival is in fact on the album and not a bonus, so they released the second single before the first?

And then they drop Rap God which they're not considering to be a single but it's charting better than the other two.

I think they weren't happy with the reception of Survival and Berzerk and dropped Rap God knowing for sure it would create a buzz. I don't think it was all part of a bigger plan. I really think it was a last ditch effort to create a buzz. If Survival and Berzerk made a bigger splash, I think they would have saved Rap God for the album.

Amp 98.7 radio posted that they're not receiving the track until right before 7:45 so it doesn't leak...guys...what if Batman got a hold of the people at AMP and convinced them he was a Shady employee, and said that he would send them The Monster at 7:45, so when the people at the radio station are waiting on the track, he sends them some bullshit instead...this could be the largest trolling ever...
