Still haven't listened to Monster cuz I'm stubborn in wanting as many new songs as possible on my first listen
Reading a few comments about it makes me think I'm gonna really like it though, as the members that hate it don't share the same taste as me

However I've decided that I will DL the full leak when it comes

I listened to a slower version of The Monster on Youtube. Made it ten times better.

I dunno, maybe he tried saying "I'm going to make a really poppy song with a feel-good vibe to get people to get all happy in the car or whatever, but talk about some depressing shit to it to see who catches on". If that's the case, he still could have pulled it off better. I'm reaching for the stars right now, I know, but I'm still trying to process the song. By no means has it diminished my hype for the album, though. Not at all.

Yeah the slowed down version is better.

I kinda thought maybe it was originally a darker song and he got steered to speeding it up and adding some more "poppyness" to it. It could definitely have been a slower/darker song with some changes.
