Well I said in another thread that, when TI named his album King, guys from all over were getting at him. Same when Kendrick said he was King of NY. A shit ton of NY rappers got at him.
Eminem said he was the GOD...not of Detroit, not of white rappers...of RAP, and to my knowledge, no one said anything.
Like he said on Untitled, emcees get so quiet you can hear a motherfucking dog whistle when I walk by.
No one is gonna get on a record and call out Eminem.
to be fair, both Jay Z and Kanye called themselves Gods this year. Oh, Tech N9ne did it 2 years ago. see sig

Bullshit. That's a silly stan fantasy if I've ever heard one. Em ripped Jay to shreds on Renegade, no doubt about it. Jay was great too, but Em was in Super Saiyan mode. Nobody could fuck with him on Renegade. But Jay's best album, The Black Album, came out after Renegade, as did American Gangster and Watch the Throne. Died with Renegade, my ass.

Jay even referenced getting murdered on Renegade on A Star is Born, and I believe Kanye (though I hate him) said something along the lines of when everyone heard Ems Forever verse, he felt he had to go back and re write his shit because nothing was fucking with it.
People will hate on this, but it seems that Recovery and Hell the Sequel got Em his respect back in a sense.
