At first when I heard that I kinda got it, because Helen Keller is blind and deaf, so obviously she knows how crappy life can be. But on a later listen I realized it's because she's blind and deaf, but still has a sense of smell, so she knows life literally stinks.
IMO, Eminem's best puns are when the line mean two things, not just like two words that have to do with each other. This is the only one I've really caught so far though
