"hip hop head" is the dumbest fucking term ever.

What, you know more obscure hip-hop albums than your friends, therefore you qualify as a hip-hop head? Lmfao.

It doesn't even matter about how many classic albums these rappers have, it's about the lyrics themselves.

Kanye never went outside the box...the fucking guy is always either talking about relationships or how the white man is bringing him down. And, please, don't hit me with the "OH MY GAWD U DONT UNDERSTAND KANYE'S MUZIKKKK"

His lyrics are also pretty shitty and for some reason are mistaken as poetical which is EXTREME bullshit. But, the funny thing is, people don't look at his lyrics alone when they consider him a "poet." They look at the production, mostly. "Runaway" wouldn't have been considered a poetical song had the production not been there...the lyrics aren't special at all.

"Sent this bitch a picture of my dick"

Shakespeare is turning in his grave.

EDIT: Kendrick is pretty good, but he's still young. GKMC was pretty fucking good though and better than MMLP 2 so depending on how great Kendrick's next release is, he could be considered better than Em.

Em >>> Kendrick >>>>>>>>>>>> Kanye

Kendricks voices are awful to listen to and he will never be capable of making anything close to a Lose Yourself. Talented rapper but his music just isn't good

To say what? That Kendrick, who can rap in an enjoyable voice very well, chooses to constantly rap in obnoxious voices that ruin songs? It is true.

I like Kendrick, I do. But the overrating is out of control. GKMC is not enjoyable at all to listen to. Great story but to call this album legendary is fucking idiotic.

Em has 3 classics (MMLP, SSLP, TES)
Kanye has 2 classics (LR, MBDTF)
Kendrick has 1 classic (GKMC).

Section 80, College Dropout, Grad, 808, Relapse and MMLP2 are good/great albums.

Encore is good. Recovery is trash.

Lol kendrick DEBUT album came out last year so of course he doesn't have a long career but we're talking about right now.

But you're right about that:

Em has 3 classics (MMLP, SSLP, TES)
Kanye has 2 classics (LR, MBDTF)
Kendrick has 1 classic (GKMC).

right now kanye and kendrick > Eminem because Eminem last classic was released 10 years ago

Facts only.
mbdtf and gkmc are pretty much the only hip hop albums we mention when talking about the best albums of the decade (2010-now) and I'd say that Life Is Good is not far behind, I'd place it as his third best produced album after IWW.

based on my enjoyment:
gkmc >>> mbdtf >> mmlp2 >>>>>>>> rap music > undun > lig > everything else

based on what I think is better:
mbdtf > gkmc > lig > mmlp2 > undun > rap music

Good Kid Maad City is an album I listen to about once every 5 months. Shit is not that great at all.

MBDTF isn't my cup of tea but I can understand why some people like it.

Do you think any of those hooks are good? Is there a single fantastic song on the album?

oh yeah, there are like 10 fantastic songs, 1 good song and one that I skip

I don't call it the best or second best album of the decade because I love it or because it's deemed as a classic but because it has everything an album needs to have in order to be called a classic

I thought Lig was rap album of the year 2012 until gkmc and R.A.P. Music came out, just like I thought Run The Jewels was raoty until I heard MNIMN and Old, my favorite artists just can't win :(

But I can't be mad at killer mike, danny brown and kdot, their albums just sounded like it took more effort to put together. I knew these albums were gonna be a problem when I finished listening to them

As for Kdot, he has everything: the fans, the mainstream success, the sales, the critical acclaim, and most of the Nas stans ride with him so he needs to keep it up and make Nas proud :smoking:

Kendrick Lamar Buries Eminem on His Own Album - MMLP2 review

Where Eminem makes a fatal mistake on his album is inviting Kendrick. Slim proves he's one of the only MCs alive capable of hanging with Kendrick Lamar on "Love Game," making K-Dot flow over one of the craziest and cartoony hip-hop beats ever made...and K-Dot delivers, easily hanging with Eminem in a chaotic and complicated beat not normally associated with hip-hop. Much like Sylar on NBC's defunct Heroes, Kendrick took Eminem's superpowers and now wields them, along with all the other rappers he's slain.

Everyone loves Swimming Pools and Bitch Dont Kill My Vibe.

They are both.....fucking terrible. Awful. Horrendous. 2 of the worst choruses I have ever heard in my life, terrible to listen to.
