Kendrick is capable of big, big things. But he has let me down so far.

How many chart topping hits has he had? ZERO. For somebody with as much popularity and fame and him, this is inexcusable.

Only good songs on GKMC are The Recipe, Money Trees, and Compton. Poetic Justice isn't bad either.

Everything else is dissapointing. I was anticipating an album full of Hiiipowers and The Recipes but I got an album with some good songs surrounded by a bunch of awful songs with horrible hooks, beats, and voices.

Kendrick 3rd best rapper right now. He is insanely talented, but lets not get out of control.

MMLP2 in numbers - MTV: http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/171704 ... bers.jhtml

160: Once Marshall gets to spitting raps on the album opener, "Bad Guy," there's little to no let-up. By our count, he spit 1,104 words on that first seven-minute track, alone, and goes on to top that by rhyming 1,451 words on the all-out lyric-fest "Rap God." In total Slim rapped about 12,600 words over the course of his 78-minute album, putting him at 160 rhymes per minute. Not counting ad-libs or skits where he was merely speaking, that's a whole lot of bars.

98: Em made it clear on his major-label debut that he really doesn't give a f---, and that may be true ... literally. If Em rapped about 12,600 words on the album, the number of times he dropped the F-bomb surprisingly amounts to less than 1 percent.

10: There has been considerable outrage over Eminem's use of sexually offensive and homophobic lyrics. "I'll still be able to break a motherf---in' table/ Over the back of a couple of f----ts and crack it in half," he spits on "Rap God."

20: The worlds that Eminem paints on his albums are quite dangerous. Over the course of 16 MMLP2 tracks, the body count hits an average of 1.25 murders per song. The album opens with Slim dying at the hands of Matthew Mitchell, the brother of his famed fictional character Stan, and the kill spree continues on tracks like "So Much Better" and "Stronger Than I Was."
They say the good die young... Proof, YOU'RE NEVER OVER.

Kendrick is way more famous than Nas right now. Look at album sales

To me, the biggest drawback to this album is the way Eminem bites his tongue.

I think Eminem has so many new life experiences to draw from but he references them in such an obscure fashion they lose their punch. Best example would be Stronger than i was / So Much better. Its obvious there has been a woman he met who he dated for that year and a half. But, whether to protect his image, protect her, protect his privacy.... He just doesn't FULLY delve into the intricacies of that relationship.

Even like Mycke C-town said, his celebrity barbs are limited to calling Kim Kardashian ugly? He calls out future by knocking him into tomorrow? C'mon. The state of pop might be wack, but there are so many wack rappers popping he could go at if he wants to "get a reaction"

I was listening to Headlights, and as real as that song sounds, adding lines line "the two of us together are like an atomic bomb, chemical warfare..." just remove that level of sincerity so present on his earlier personal works. The Way I am, Cleaning out my closet had a singular purpose of putting his emotions out. Headlights sounds like he wants to, but doesn't want to be too public and therefore sometimes uses all these stupid puns to fill up the void.

Look, i am not saying Eminem should reveal more than he wants to. He has a right to keep his private life private. But if that is the case, he should embrace the conceptual album nature of Relapse/ Distant Relatives/ How i Got over and therefore give his content a jolt of life. His execution is great, sometimes borderline genius but it can feel hollow.

That said, i think Rap God, Evil twin and the second part of Bad Guy have the best sort of hybrid between being personal/ provocative/ Pompous and abstract and thus i enjoy them the most.

Truth is its a nice set of songs. But other than rap god nothing groundbreaking. It's just not the right direction for eminem.
