My Jay-Z avatar has nothing to do with my posts. I think Jay was a pretty great album back in the day and that picture is cool as shit.

I do know what a classic is. A "classic", defined by pretty much every intelligent life form on this planet, is a piece of art that somehow either impacts the artist or his art. I don't see Rhyme or Reason impacting Eminem's art any time soon, nor himself. Headlights though, will have a lasting impact and can be considered "classic" because it's an apologetic song to his mother. It's something new. It's something that hasn't been done before. Like "Kim" or "Stan".

I don't see many people talking about "Desperation". I listen to this song a lot, I really like it.

None of the songs suck anyway... it's a very well balanced album overall.

but no classics, where as MMLP is all classics

Bad Guy, Rhyme Or Reason, Headlights, Legacy, Evil Twin, Brainless, Stronger Than I Was, Baby, Groundhog Day, Beautiful Pain, So Much Better, and Rap God are all classics. Get your head out of your ass.

I didn't really like Desperation's hook that much... It just feels like he had the JNC feature for the sake of having the JNC feature. It just didn't fit on the song. *shrug*

Word. He wasted JNC. A Devil in Me sample would have been perfect, but JNC doesn't fit a song like Desperation. Em's rapping on it is merely decent too.

Em's rapping was the saving grace (actually, the beat wasn't too bad for an Alex da Kid one), for me.

shit, i think the same, Its like i listen to the song, and the chorus comes on, and i immediately dislike it, don't get me wrong, the chorus is great, but the overall sound of it just doesn't fit, the production doesn't fit the chorus either, i think something more Toned down/quiet would have made a better fit in the song
