WOAT I swear, hands down. There's no doubt about it now.

I actually said something similar to that, tbh. This album reminds me of Encore in the way that I think it made me feel like how Encore was supposed to make me feel. It's the "closing of a chapter" just like Encore is, but it's executed infinitely better.
It has nothing to do with the quality of it, just the feel it gives me when I listen to it.

Exactly. I've said that too.

Clarky said the same thing right after it leaked too... to be honest I don't feel that way 'cuz it does feel like it's coming so long after the original. What Em says on MMLP2 is relevant to what happens today & what Em was saying on TOS & Encore was relevant to what was happening at the time & that was still relevant to the TMMLP era.
For example Bad Guy vividly shows how much time has past since TMMLP & how things in general are so different while TOS & Encore little or less had that connection to the original. I don't talk about quality though...

It sounds like you're talking about subject matter though, which I don't mean at all either. I just mean the feeling that the album gives me, not what is said on it.

I think Slim Shady is dead, Eminem has retired, and Marshall is going to stick with producing. Honestly he can't rap anymore he's like 40.

True.. I do talk about subject matter wise & how that makes me feel this album mirrors another era to the one of the original. I totally get your point though.

Yeah, the subject matter isn't at all the same, but it's just that vibe that it gives me. Like, even though the whole thing has joking around songs on it, the whole sound in general gives this dark depressing type vibe which I think Encore was supposed to have.

Yeah I agree. Didn't get that feeling at all from Relapse and Recovery, even though I enjoyed them more than Encore.

That's definitely true Menzo... no doubt about it. Recovery for example literally mirrored the era it was released in & it was about how Em adapted to it.
