Michael Buble's "Christmas" returns to the top 10, as it steps 13-9 with 68,000 (up 43%) and Luke Bryan's "Crash My Party" closes out the top 10, rising 14-10 with just over 68,000 (up 44%).

wait so it sold less on Billboard than it said it did on HDD :confusion:

Yeah, but this happens all the time. They reported Katy Perry to be 62k last week but Prism ended with 59k, they also reported above 100k for her, but it actually sold 99k....anyway HDD's final number is just a reference, it could be less or more but it approximates the final soundscan number.

I know it is way too early to tell but is there any chance that this album could go diamond? Because I really think it deserves it.

Nah, hopefully 4-5x plat.
Nobody's going diamond any time soon barring some gamechanger like Adele's 21.

That's why I kind of think they should lower the amount of sales needed to achieve diamond, platinum, etc.

Only diamond needs to be lowered, to around 4-5 million. It's the absolute max an album will sell in today's sales climate. It would reflect the status of huge albums in this generation much better. Adele's 21 was probably the biggest album since Thriller yet it only barely went diamond. That to me isn't a very good reflection of how big that album truly was.

If you put Recovery in perspective with the sales climate it came out in, it was right up there with MMLP and TES in their own respective sales climates. But yet it "only" went 4x plat and is currently sitting at 4,5mil. It just doesn't sound as impressive as "diamond" but reality is, Recovery's commercial power was incredible. MMLP2 won't get near those numbers. It'll probably slow down significantly at around 2,5mil and slowly reach 3x plat in 1-2 years time. Then eventually perhaps it'll go 4x plat.

:worship: Worldwide sales have been consistently around 250k for a while now

I noticed that too... it's the proof this album is fucking murdering it. At the end of the day... money is money so the most important thing is the total number.

He could've passed easily Bruno Mars and Justin Timberlake if he released the album 2 months earlier.

As for the rest of the top 10, expect to see familiar faces like One Direction's "Midnight Memories," Eminem's "The Marshall Mathers LP 2" and Katy Perry's "PRISM." The three albums are among the many that are experiencing a surge in sales after Christmas. It's traditional to see lots of albums earn increases in the week after Christmas, as consumers redeem newly-acquired gift cards (for digital download stores, especially).
Rank Last Week, BB 200 Artist Title
1 1 Beyonce "Beyonce"
2 3 One Direction "Midnight Memories"
3 6 Eminem "The Marshall Mathers LP 2"

Back in the top 5 and they're expecting an increase in sales :y:

Great...I expected another solid week after Christmas but an increase is another story. :worship: I guess he away from them 50's yet... that album is definitely here to stay.
