Where/how do you store your old ps1 games?

Postby Hopsinshadie » Jan 13th, '14, 08:42

Getting a big screen screen for my room, never had had a big tv. And I thought getting another PS2 would be fun, especially since I'm gonna be buying a lot more ps1games. I can't believe I sold a lot of my games. Shame on me. I want to add a nice collection of games for display beneath the tv, just because I think it would be a great statement. When people come over, they can see I'm a die hard PS2 and PS1 game supporter. Do any of you just use a cd tower? I used to just be unorganized and my ps1 covers would crack. I've seen some of the new Atlantic Centipede's but those don't hold ps1 games. Why don't they store the ps1 games too? Plus I'm worried what I'm gonna do when I have too many games and nowhere to put them. I'm gonna be buying all the old classics, I have a statement to make. It's just like when people start buying all the old hip hop songs instead of the new ones.

In my trashcan...

But really, I only have a few of the Final Fantasys that were for PS1 now lol. Those were some amazing games though.

PS1 was the original. Can't believe you give it no respect. It set the tone for the next generation. You are not a true gamer if you don't like the old classics still.

So back to the original question. Where is the best place to put them?

This is more of a Backstage question lol not really thread worthy not even trying to be a dick...put them wherever is convenient for you. I have a little storage cabinet that I keep my games in.

Post a picture? I want to ''display'' my games though, not just store them. & what happens when you have too many games to fit the cabinet?

I think all the most popular games are downloadable in the PS store online or something. I bought all the old Sly Cooper games on the PS3 a while back, epic shit. Ain't nobody got time for copies no more fool

I keep a constant rotation of games. Single-player games, I'll beat then sell back and use that money to get another game. Multiplayer games I tend to keep unless a better version is out. Like I would trade in Black Ops 2 for Ghosts because Ghosts is the latest. I didn't do that with Ghosts, though, that's just an example.

And Yoda's comment was priceless. In the 90's lol.

Well I don't respect you for selling all the games you beat. I am going to collect games also because I want to collect. A lot of games back then were special to me and remind me of my childhood. So I'm going to re-collect them and play them because they bring me back. The 90's was so much better than now as well.

Oh yea? I played Duck Hunt, Dream Master, and Home ALONE.

But the best 2 systems of all time are PS1 and Super NES by far. PS2 is also the GOAT because you can play PS1 on it.

Ps1, PS2, Super NES > X box one, X box 360, X box, Ps3, Ps4, Dreamcast, Nintendo 64, Nintendo Wii, Sega Genesis, Regular NES.

But Sega Genesis, Gameboy, Gamegear, and Regular NES were dope too. PS3 is probably the worst system ever. Or maybe PS4. Watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oAyC4F3Szjs this guys video, explaining why PS4 is the worst console..... God I miss PS1!!!!!!!!

Regardless the PS1 is and will always be a hunk of garbage, lots of 3D games that were pretty good in some spots but held back by some weak fucking hardware, the performance on the majority of PS1 games is unbearable.

Exactly. Metal Gear Solid is a good example.
