The Watcher by Dr. Dre.

Postby Brainless BadGuy » Jan 13th, '14, 19:53

My favourite solo Dr. Dre. song of them all.
The rhymes might be pretty simplistic but the beat is perfection (especially after the 2nd chorus) and the chorus is just unbelievably catchy, even if you don't remember the words that tune sticks in your head for ages. 10/10
Q. What did Eminem say to 50 when he caught him wearing a sweater?
A. GEE YOU KNITT??

I ain't no fucking G, I'm a cannibal
I ain't tryin to shoot you, I'm tryin to chop you into pieces and eat you
Wrap you in rope and plastic, stab you with broken glass
And have you with open gashes strapped to a soakin mattress
Coke and acid, black magic, cloaks and daggers
Fuck the planet, 'til it spins on a broken axis

I love the song but it's nowhere near my favorite Dre songs... I probably like a dozen way more than The Watcher. I respect your opinion though. :y:

I hadn't listened to it for so long and then I stuck it on again today and just fell in love with it. I might've been exaggerating when I said it's the best now I think of it, just couldn't believe how good it was when I bumped it

Francesco knows whats up.
Song is great, but not his best

I know like 3 songs of his that are easily one of the best songs of all time... & a lot more which are not up there with the greatest but are crazy good as well.

Rolly I need you in the Football thread on daily basis homie!

Do that Rolly...

Y'all should check out Dre's Been there, done that... it's not one of Dre's most popular songs 'cuz it wasn't on none of the solo albums but it's a West Coast classic.

Way more my brother... Slim The Mobster said The other Slim is heavily involved... kinda like Snoop on The Chronic at the time INAD dropped while explaining Dre's line All I need is Slim.
