Missy Elliot Undergoes Surgery For Torn Achilles Tendon

Missy Elliott postponed numerous appearances after undergoing surgery for a torn left Achilles tendon.
The accident happened while Elliot was rehearsing in Los Angeles for the TV Guide Emmy party that was scheduled to be held five days later.
Elliot recently underwent extensive surgery at a private hospital on Manhattan's East Side to repair the damage.
"Tearing your Achilles is no joke," Elliot said in a statement.
