Hopefully a video will do something.
Only way he finna get hype is by creating brilliant, genuine and original art.
Which we all know he's more than capable of.
Labels and artists need to stop tryna manufacture hype. Hype comes from excitement about the possibility of what an artist may create next. Yela damaged his hype climb wit Radioactive. He dun recouped a lot wit his side releases since which we all pretty much lud, but that's only his core fan base.
I think Love Story could be a big seller but only over time. The obsession with 1st week sales, I think, should be forgotten. Because some of the biggest albums ever started with very small 1st week sales. They sold continuously and word spread due to the fact the albums were brilliant or original in some way.
Yela ain't finna have some big hit any time soon and if he does it'll be at the expense of his art. Already dun tried with Lil Jon (although that song is fly anyway) and Kid Rock. Should just be authentic now. If it's brilliant, if the album is consistent and uncompromised - word will spread, just like it did wit Trunk mewShik.
