I mean, how come nobody's talking about it. It's POKEMON. Perhaps we need to talk about it. It's a remake I think.

Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire

Announcing Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems! Prepare for an epic adventure exploring a world filled with Pokémon!

Pokémon fans first enjoyed Pokémon Ruby Version and Pokémon Sapphire Version when it launched in 2003 for the Game Boy Advance. Now, a whole new generation of Pokémon fans will experience the dramatic storyline that unfolds in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire.

Look forward to Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire when the games launch worldwide in November 2014!

I'm looking forward to it. Still playing X and Y competitively. Excited for new Mega Evolutions and also the Secret Bases! :flutter:

Oh and the HM Dive too!!! Can't wait to swim underwater! :)

......

What you guys looking forward to the most in this game? Do you think the gap between this game and XY is too narrow?

This is going to be great! Imo, this region had the absolute coolest and most innovated towns in the entire series.

This was the generation I played more than any other pokemon game when I was younger. I'm really excited about the secret bases (hopefully they're still in the game and optimized for wi-fi)

btw, you mention you play X/Y competitively? I do too, hit me up sometime and we can have a nice battle :y:

I heard about this last week.

Apparently you can explore a "whole new world."

A brand new place you never knew?

but seriously, I think this may be the first set of main Pokemon games I won't be investing in. I had so much hype for X and Y and they turned out to be boring as fuck 0 replay value. I'm a long time Pokemon fan since Red and every new game comes with less and less stuff to keep you going. It could be that I've grown tired of the formula. Tired of trekking through the game and receive all the best Pokemon at the end when it doesn't even matter. Beat the game and have nothing left to do? Here's a Mewtwo to do nothing with! X and Y took like 18 hours to get to the second gym if you took your time and explored. the next 6 gyms could be done in 4-5 hours. Add an hour for Elite 4 if you count the road to it. What kind of pacing is that? If they provide some shit to do that is actually rewarding to do, then I may look into it.

I'll just buy it for the hell of it.

I personally loved the 3rd generation.

I entirely agree with everything you said :y: , I hope they dial back the water traversing atleast a little bit though, or have some more interesting things along the way. Otherwise ,this region had my favorite set of new pokemon, some of my favorite music in a Pokemon etc.

I meant, of course yellow version is the best. Everybody knows that. It's unfair to compare anything to yellow man. :coffee:
