Devil's Night General Discussion

Postby Jaba » Sep 27th, '14, 04:36

Album is amazing. Was bumping the other day and I love almost every song. Em was at his best, I really enjoyed Porter and Swiftys stuff too, and Bizzy is funny. Plus Proof is always amazing. Amazing album.

Singin' "Bagpipes from Baghdad" again
In my dad's drag draggin' a faggot in a Glad bag
Won't be the last time I make a dramatic entrance like that again
You thought I was lyin' when I said I think that I'm crossin' the line again
I've lost my mind, caution oh God I think I've just thought of another fucking line
Forgive me father, for I have sinned
But hip hop has left me brainwashed with a violent streak

Some of Em's very best verses.

Album is only like a 3.5/5 though

The last time we heard the "true" Slim Shady. Great overall album.

i feel like i'd get hate in a non-em forum but to me this was classic.

for a 6 member group to have such solid songs, with great hooks and awesome verses...not to mention the best part to me was the great concepts they had. it worked throughout. a few "filler" songs, and yes em made that album as great as it was on a lot of levels (hooks, verses, bonus track) but that album was a solid fucking hip-hop album. it was pretty cohesive AND it was 6 guys doing it. amazing, classic album imo

Every Em verse on this is straight fire honestly.
" Life can change your directions, even when you ain't planned it
All you can do it handle it, worst thing you can do is panic
Use it to your advantage, avoid insanity manage
To conquer, every obstacle, make impossible possible
Even when winning illogical, losing is still far from optional.." -T.I.
