I hear people say that The simpsons is better than Family guy ..I dont get those people cause I tried to watch 1 episode of The simpsons on TV I watched about 3 minutes and thats it I couldnt take more of that bullshit show Not funny at all AT ALL and all the people are yellow? Wtf?
Family guy is more creative and light years ahead of the simpsons IMO , Family guy is so fuckin funny that you can watch a whole season without getting bored.
The characters in Simpsons looks so fucking LAME unlike Family guy

They really do need to end Family Guy, just isn't funny as it once was. Then again, people say the same about The Simpsons.

I didnt get to watch a whole Episode of it yet , But I am sure its good cause its created by Seth MacFarlane the creator of Family Guy.But I still think he will never top Family guy.I mean you really think the characters in American dad are funnier than Stewie / Peter and Quagmire lol

The Simpson's. I'm an oldies Simpson's fan though. Seasons 1-10. I haven't watched the last couple of seasons because it changed too much. I don't find Family Guy funny though.

You really need to watch Seasons 2 - 7 of the Simpsons. I wouldn't suggest anything past season 10 to anyone looking to get into it. Well, we all have different tastes of comedy, as it seems to me the comedic style has changed a lot. Seasons 2 and 3 are my favorites.

The Simpsons without a doubt. Family Guy is boring most of the time, they have a few crazy episodes but its way to geeky imo.

First of all I don't find Family Guy that funny at all, my friends always watch it and tell me its jokes and I'm never impressed, they're just retarded. When it comes to The Simpsons, I don't think it's that funny neither but as the plot roles it keeps me going. So I find it more fun than funny unlike Family Guy which is none of those two. Actually, I prefer American Dad over Family Guy.

Yeah..some of the Simpson's episodes have a meaning to them and come down to a moral at the end..That's what I like though..good stories mixed in with comedy. Yeah it's not punchline comedy. Some of it is random/obvious gags and some are just the way the characters portrayed. I love Homer's attitude/jealousy towards good ole Ned Flanders especially in "Dead Putting Society". Homer: "Arlight, knock it off! You've been rubbing my nose in it since I've got it. Your family is better than my family. Your beer comes from FARTHER away than my beer. You and your son like each other. Your wifes butt, is higher than my wifes butt. You make me sick!" ...one of my all-time favorite characters is Troy McClure. RIP Phil Hartman.

Family guy is a punchline comedy, living it's life on TV due to short attention spans. Do I like it? Yes, very much so. Can it be compared to the Simpson's triumphant longevity and comedic story telling? No, not in the least bit. Family guy jokes are a brow-raising, mostly laughable, and definitely sporadic comedy. Simpson's on the other hand captures the eye with a unique approach to the typical American Middle-Class, with subtle story telling and amazing comedic timing. Family guy surely has more jokes per episode, but quality beats quantity.
