Just like it's popular to hate on 50 Cent. I know he's not exactly talented or anything but it's become quite popular for everyone to hate him I think.

I usually hate on a lot of things, including Eminem. But Relapse was a nice pleasant surprise. I think i've listened to the album about 20 times through and still want to listen to it. That usually makes it a great album in my books. I would put it along side of Tech N9ne's Killer, Paper Trail, Carter 3, Ultimate Victory, and Graduation as my favorite albums the last 2 years.

Some people don't like the crazy content and would rather listen to something real. They have limited themselves to one thing, and if Eminem doesn't deliver that one thing to fill their emptiness, they are disappointed. It's matter of setting expectations and not being able to adjust to things that deviate from those expectations.
