I consider myself an atheist, but I would never say I'm 100% sure of my beliefs. I still acknowledge that anything is possible, as should everybody else. I think it's really arrogant to be completely sure of something we really know nothing about.

There is actually a scale that measures this, ranging from 1 (strong theist) to 7 (strong athiest). 1 and 7 are the ones that consider themselves to be 100% right about this. And I just think it's impossible to be that sure of something.

I didn't say a part of me believes in God. I meant a part of me understands that anything is possible. I allow equal possibility to all religious ideas. To me, all the "supernatural" theories have a really low level of being possible, but that's just my opinion.
I just don't think that you can be 100% sure about ANYTHING, not just this. That's why I say that I'm not completely positive in my beliefs; not because I'm scared that I might be wrong and go to hell, as many people might think.
That doesn't mean I'm completely in the middle though. I'm pretty sure of myself, but I still believe there is a small possibility that I am wrong. It's hard to understand because our views are pretty opposite, but that's just how my logic works

Same here, i believe in "something" bigger than all of us that keeps things in place, but i dont believe in all these books, i find it quite funny that people think everything in those books are solid facts, just use common sense and you'll see how your being played, my parents are muslims and when i was younger they used to teach me things when i got to the age of 13 i alrdy started doubting the storys and everything, i think the book has just been written by a normal guy just like me and you, who wanted to make the world a better place, so he wrote down something like a manual for life where people would hold on to it and follow the right path, now this got waaayyy out of control and i will offend muslims by this and i couldnt care lesss, but its so fuckign stupid to call your self a muslim while you go out cutting peoples head off and bombing innoncent people in the name of god, while the koran says not to kill anyone or w/e ( this gooes for every religion i just take the islam as example cuz i experience it myself), and yeah you can say "not every muslim is the same and thinks that way" but all of my friends are muslims not from the same country as i am but their muslims and all my life ive been around muslims, and all of them back up the bombings in the name of allah and think bush and all jews and w/e should be shot, not to mention some strong muslims kill their own daughter cuz she fell in love with a non muslim whcih we obviously cant have cuz in the koran it says you should marry a muslim so obviously we slit her throat, like where the fuck did all of you go wrong, the books do more wrong than good, fucking biggest wars and people killed for those fucking religions and shit, people need to start using their brains more.

About the seven day theory; I have a way of explaining it.
To me, if God has the ability to make such a vast universe of epic proportions, he must know how every single thing works, the intricacies of the atoms that bind everything together, every little thing he knows how it works to the letter. This would make him the ultimate scientist. Now if you were put into a situation where you had to explain the creation of the planet/universe, would you say to a primitive human who's number system wasn't fully developed yet.. ''I created the universe in 200 billion years''..? No. You would put it in terms that they would understand. Therefore he put it as 7 days, so it would be universally accepted. That is the logic behind it.

Going back to the bold text, say God is the ultimate scientist. He created everything and knows how everything works, right? This would mean he knows how Evolution works, so this brings me to my point. I believe that God created science so we may figure out the origins of life ourselves. He created evolution, seeing as how he knows every little intricacy, and we are figuring out the properties of it as we progress mentally. If you think about this, it will make sense.
