MMLP was that Angry Blonde music we all grew to fucking love and the oldheads grew to hate. Em's most controversial moments spawned from this album...shit was fucking ruthless.

TES was Em's most reflective work to date and was definitely him at his peak of world notoriety. While I love the Eminem Show, the Marshall Mathers LP hands down is my favorite Eminem record and hiphop album of all time (and that beats out a lot of great rap records).

What are the "lot of great rap records" you're saying it beats?
Yo, from the first to the last of it; delivery is passionate/
The whole and not the half of it; vocab and not the math of it/
Projectile that them blasted with; accurate assassin shit/

Soldier, Till I Collapse, White America, etc. are 'soft' songs?

Mockingbird wasn't on TES..

Unless your just naming some random 'soft' songs lol. I like the emotional side of Em anyways.

Fuck that shit, bitch, eat a motherfuckin' dick
Chew on a prick, and lick a million motherfuckin' cocks per second
I'd rather put out a motherfucking gospel record
I'd rather be a pussy-whipped bitch, eat pussy
And have pussy-lips glued to my face with a clit-ring in my nose

May not be gangster lyrics but not soft either.

My Dad's Gone Crazy is by no definition a soft song.

I think it'd be boring if Em didn' grow as an artist. Each album has had it's own sound, one of the reasons why the man is a genious.

MMLP is the greatest Eminem album, emotion, attitude, flow, and lyric wise, imo.

MMLP, by far.

SSLP...then TES.

I love all three albums. I love TES. But, MMLP is easily Em's best piece of work. He fully developed after the SSLP -- and came hard. Like other posters have said...he brought everything on that LP: anger, humour, seriousness, and fire.

Classic, classic priceless album.

MMLP = Em in his prime.
