Are you sure it's not you who wrote that article and are trying to slip it in by pretending you 'found' it lmao.
Anyway the article is a pile of shit and totally wrong.
Out of about 200-300 songs, he's made about... Three actual songs about Kim, two true songs about his mother and four about Halie.
So that's 9 in total that he writes about 'all he ever talks about'.
Even if we just take the official solo songs on the official solo albums that he's done (including new tracks on Curtain Call) - That's 100 total. That's leaving out any EPs, mixtapes, feature tracks, the D12 albums and unreleased tracks.
So even with just those - 100, that's 9 out of 100. On three separate topics the person complains about. Wow, 9%. Yeah, that's really overboard lmao. When you consider that to the percentage that 50 Cent or most rappers talk about drug-dealing or pimping, you'll probably come up with something closer to 80%.
The fact that he, only ever wrote one actual song until Relapse about his mother and there was this common impression that "he's always banging on about her" and "writes non-stop songs about her" shows what a powerful and memorable song "Cleanin' Out My Closet" truly is.
You'd be better of trying to say all he talks about is drugs and violence. Since you'll find much more example than that than you will debbie, halie and kim. Sure he makes references but he jumps from topic to topic more than anybody else. You can't pin him down to a sub-genre of rap, he's un-categorizable.
You can't call him just a fast, slow, emotional, comedy, horrocore, zany, grumpy, violent or other rapper because you'll find examples of all of those. And more.
I was too lazy to write all that, but i was thinking exactly that.
