They definitely rap about guns though, their just more old school and less technical to be considered as gun rappers so they fall in to gangsta rap. If you ask me, that whole "gun rapper", "gangsta rap" name calling bullshit is played out. Rap is filled with violent lyrics, only rapper that I'd consider a "gun rapper" though is Royce. And without gangsta rap, rap would be soft as fuck, and I don't think many people understand how important gangsta rap is to hip hop.
@ MC - What's your fav Royce songs? top 5.
I don't have any problem with people labeling something as gangsta or gun rapper, so long as they don't trash it ignorantly. I hate presumptious assholes that always rave on about how alternative is so much better and creative, when I could easily trash that subgenre, whilst being oblvious to the many shades of "gangsta"rap, thinking it's noting but bitches, money, and gunz but aren't even aware of albums like A Prince Among Thieves. Or that many "gangsta" rappers have a socioploitical message or deep underlying theme in their message, while being cathartically aggressive, depressing, bombastic, etc. Really the whole negative stereotype towards gangsta rap pisses me off, though guys like 50 cent don't exactly help it's image, same for Eminem at times, that w igger.

btw I agree with the first line of your sig.
I'm not even joking about that. I find anime much more creative than movies. And as for creativity, view and entertainment, I'd much rather watch an anime than a movie, because it looks much more appealing. And because it's fiction it's much more interesting to watch cause the story can take you anywhere, and you can visual things you'll never see in real life. Where as if a movie tried to do that or be creative at it's finest peak, it would require more graphics than actual story. And at the end of the day, you can't really argue with the fact that it's "fake". Where as an animation lets you see television entertainment at it's fullest potential cause you already know it's fake, so you don't expect anything real, you're more focused on the actual content and the story. I hate watching movies and then some ignorant cunt comes along and says "oh that's fake"...
And I couldn't agree more about gangsta rap. I think people from the eastcoast and westcoast much rather welcome gangsta rap with open arms. You never really here people from New York or LA complain about gangsta rap, it's usually the people who don't witness that "street" lifestyle that don't like gangsta rap much. But I do agree, sick of that shit. And that's pretty much exactly why I like gangsta rap, it feels much more passionate talking about their lifestyles because they've gone through shit. If it's message isn't strong, it's spam, no one want's to check that shit.

Goddamn that was hard as fuck. I can't do this list and not mentions the songs in HM list or I'll die of a heart attack.
Nice list man, I agree for the most part. I'm just too tired to write a list atm. I'll def make one though. There was a time (probably like 2 years ago) I was incredibly hooked to Royce. I used to hate Royce when I first heard him, I thought his voice was annoying as fuck and it used to hurt my eyes, but for some odd reason as soon as I started listening to him, I forgot and lost all the reasons I hated him for.

@ Hip Hop being number 1.
