That bit was fucking creative in terms of rhyming and flow. Really original, this is what I've been missing from Em.

Very creative. It's a great verse tbh.

Hating has entered this thread . :coffee:

C'mon guys the lines that sound bad actually aren't that bad if you see the Body Language that he used with it.

@menzo

no bro,i liked that part of what amdeo hated,i know thats fucking, that flow was FIRE! i hated this though:

I'm not the king of this microphone booth, its more like a phonebooth
Superman in this bitch, Kryptonite won't do
It gives me more power, I bump the fat boys and
Eat rat poison and take meteor showers
Fresh outta the mental hospital and
Me not flossing a middle finger while I hop in a mosh pit
It'll be like Nas doing Gospel or R&B... you crazy?
Me pushing up daises?

although i liked the: fat boys and/rat poisen and me more power/meteor showers
The devil ain't on a level same as him!

It's actually "when I unleash these beastly hordes on your CD stores"; i.e., Em's hordes of crazed fans. :y:

No he means Slaughterhouse and Yelawolf.

He's saying peace will never be restored / mania will ensue / sinister attitudes will take over when he releases his crew to the public. And there's probably an implication of the after-effect of that but he means Slaughter and Yela, that's why he signals to them as he says it.

Yeah, I figured that out after I watched it a couple more times.

Re: Eminem Cypher Lyrics

All of Eminem's verse was good. Some spots were obviously much more impressive than the rest but that's usually always how it goes, with anybody.

Some great rhymes and bursts of flow, a slight evolution in style.

Royce was not that good either. I saw somebody say his verse 'underrated' :confusion: - I see everybody saying he killed it. I think he gets overrated due to the fact he's associated with Em and a lot of people feel like he doesn't get enough credit for his Bad Meets Evil work. So they overcompensate.

But aside from his rhymes and good flow(s), he's rarely lyrically outstanding to me. At best he comes off as 'Eminem light' as in, he tries to emulate Em's tongue-in-cheek and pop-culture references, which obviously are not solely identifiable with Em - lots of rappers do this but...

Royce openly admits to being influenced by Em and regarding him as the greatest, and better than him though. And you can hear the homage to Em's style / attitude in his lyrics now. Which is fine, but I don't find them to be particularly great or entertaining.

I like Royce, both as a rapper and as a person, but to suggest his lyrics in that cypher were incredible or on par with Em's just ain't true. His phrasing and ideas were nowhere near as interesting. A lot of his stuff falls flat in the wit arena to me, and just comes off as silly.

Joe Budden and Em both easily had the top two for me.

^ When did I say you can't have an opinion? like what the fuck you like. Also, say what the fuck you like, as will I and should everybody.

Learn to take responses in stride.

Royce's verse wasn't as talked about as it wasn't as good. The Rihanna line wasn't even very witty, it was just the phrasing of it / delivery and repetition which made it notable in that environment.

Joe and Yela had much better verses.

Speaking of Crooked, his verse is ridiculously underrated. It was just straight rhyming, I love it.

Interesting reading everyone's opinions on who had the best verse. It all depends on your taste. Here's my list:

1. Crooked I
2. Joe Budden
3. Joel Ortiz
4. Royce
5. Eminem
6. Yelawolf
