Technology doesn't take anything away from music, it only enhances it.

The only thing it takes away is the monopoly of power that record companies used to have.

but on the flipside, people with talent can get exposure without the backing of a major label :coffee:

TrShady is just great. A place where pompousus blowhards can connect with other pompousus blowhards, and form a vast circle jerk of pomposity.

Not only to you get desensitized to the new music you're getting, you get spoiled. The internet gives you so much with such ease, you become entitled.

Not to say on the other hand it isn't great too. A few months after the MMLP I got a computer and got to hear songs like Hell bound, Our house and a lot of other cool Eminem stuff off Napster.

While the internet opens a lot of doors, it also closes them.

Absolutely agree with this part :y:

What I also miss from back in the day are the cassette tapes. I still listen to my MMLP and 8 mile OST tapes once in a while (my TES tape got broken :( ) and the sound is fucking awesome. The quality is worse but not in a bad way, I can't explain it... if you have tapes you'd know what I mean I guess...

I'll be living this hip hop till hell freezes over...

I just want to go buy the CD, listen to it like 10 times or some shit, and wait until my opinion is solidified before I come back here.

Hate to say it, if it leaks 10 days early, I'd listen. If it was literally like...the day before, I may not...but then again, it'd be the LONGEST wait for morning.

Oh yeah, it would be awful, especially because I have at least 2 friends who I actually talk to on a daily basis looking forward for the album to come out, plus a bunch of other faggots that I've for some reason not deleted off my Facebook who are going to post on my wall the minute the album leaks "DID YOU HEAR IT!?!?!?!?///1!//1/!?1" then another few people will come and spoil basically everything about it before I even decide I feel like visiting Facebook. So I might deactivate Facebook until the album comes out too.

I'll put a fucking banner over your house with spoilers

It's one thing to use technology. It's another to abuse it. People want instant gratification. And as a result, they don't gain great memories. Of course the MMLP days were dope. Going out and getting the cd, being excited all day in school. Those memories were dope. Times have changed, and not for the better. The music has a lackluster feel to it and t's way too superficial, corny, awkward, and really is for folks with no sense of real style. Pop stars don't mix well with hip hop. Technology doesn't mix well with hip hop. The same goes for movies. We have all this technology now and as a result, we've lost the human element. Nobody wants to tell it like it is anymore. People are like sheep and it stinks.

I hate youtube rappers (they should piss off) and I don't know why Macklemore had to reference ''youtube comments'' on his track. The world is fixated on social media and it kills me. As corny as it sounds, I prefer the TRL days. I wouldn't mind Eminem bashing youtube rappers and how the music stinks in general.
