What would 2000 Eminem rap about? Like if we went back in time and brought him to 2013. He wouldn't be rapping how he is now. He'd have something to say. I just wish Eminem could pretend, go back in time, and start rapping the way he knows how to best. Trust me, an attempt to be Slim Shady one more time still beats current grandpa Em.

Well Em's writting has been a big problem in the past. I either used this analogy in another post, or just thought it before, but...

It's like when you build a house, if the foundation is shit, it's going to effect the house, no matter how nice the house is.


Same with rap. The beat is the foundation. You start off with a bad beat, it's hard for good lyrics to save it.

Though Em has rapped nicely on some goofy flows earlier in his career. But at this stage, everything needs to be top notch to get it done.

Which is why he should just use simpler beats that he or Dre produces. This would solve so many issues.

1. It'd sound EXACTLY how he wants it to sound.

2. The beat would be simpler, thus not requiring such an energetic and loud voice for every track which we've been getting a lot for the last few years.

3. Em and Dre.. or Em solo songs made from scratch.. those are always good.

Throw your own hooks on there and it'd be amazing.

it feels like ever since Dre hasn't had a main role in creating his albums, the quality just hasn't been there. maybe im wrong? i dunno...
