It takes me to make a thread on the Brookyln Dodgers new album? Where are you white boys at ?
First of all I wanna admit that I didn't buy the record, but downloaded it. Secondly, I wanna say massive respect to those Beasie fans who did buy it, it debuted #2 on the US charts (at 125K sold), higher than big pop artists like JLO who also had albums out this week, that's the power of a loyal fanbase, and this is 25 years after their debut, that's incredible, you can't do anything but take your hat off to them.
As for the album, I've never been a big fan of the Beastie Boys, never denied it. But I acknowledge their greatness in hip hop. The album for anyone who's into the sound of the Beastie Boys will not be a disappointment at all, in fact you'll love it. The homie at my record store is a massive Beastie fan, and he loves it and says it's one of their best since the 80's. For people who don't know much about the B-Boys, read up, you're missing out on pioneers.
Legendary status.
