Beastie Boys - Hot Sauce Committee

It takes me to make a thread on the Brookyln Dodgers new album? Where are you white boys at ?

First of all I wanna admit that I didn't buy the record, but downloaded it. Secondly, I wanna say massive respect to those Beasie fans who did buy it, it debuted #2 on the US charts (at 125K sold), higher than big pop artists like JLO who also had albums out this week, that's the power of a loyal fanbase, and this is 25 years after their debut, that's incredible, you can't do anything but take your hat off to them.

As for the album, I've never been a big fan of the Beastie Boys, never denied it. But I acknowledge their greatness in hip hop. The album for anyone who's into the sound of the Beastie Boys will not be a disappointment at all, in fact you'll love it. The homie at my record store is a massive Beastie fan, and he loves it and says it's one of their best since the 80's. For people who don't know much about the B-Boys, read up, you're missing out on pioneers.

Legendary status.

The production is amazing and I love how they musically have adapted so well to modern times (hence why they are still selling so many albums). But their vocals are used as an effect, as a part of the production and that's what put me off. It's almost impossible to sing/rap along to anything they say :/

And yeah, Beastie Boys are legends. A couple of weeks ago I totally crashed a nightclub's vip-lounge to the sound of "Fight for your right" - good times :D

Always been a fan of these guys. Only got the album today and its sounding great, certainly up there with my favorite Beastie albums.

The video to Make Some Noise is really good and Fight For Your Right Revisited, they are both worth a watch on Youtube. The video features loads of celebs like Orlando Bloom, Will Ferrell, Jack Black, Kirsten Dunst etc.

Make some noise is the best video of the year. That's until I saw the full length version of "Fight your right revisited"

Beastie Boys ALWAYS have the best videos. Their videos are always fresh.

Damn they've contributed so much to not only hip hop, but pop culture.

These type of groups are once in a lifetime type groups.
