I wouldn't say zero talent, he could rhyme, just nowhere near the unbeatable podium people put him on.

He was a decent rapper, with so much passion, and this passion got him noticed, and him getting noticed took hip hop that extra step as a genre that it couldn't reach before.

But regarding the comparison of rappers for just talent, for every Pac verse you can find, i can find a Crooked I verse to make it sound almost like nursery rhymes.

ur an idiot (to the guy who said Tupac had no talent). ANYONE CAN RHYME WORDS!!! So many people mistake that multis and good rhyme schemes are the best test of talent. When hip-hop was created, it was what the artist was saying that was the skill. THEN as hip-hop evolved, if the artist can say some good lyrics while also having multis, that is even more skillful.

I would bet that you can get a piece of paper and write 16 bars full of multis. I know I can in under 10 minutes. But would it have any listener value? No. That is why we are not rappers.

The raw emotion in Pac's voice and in his lyrics is unbelievable. A LOT MORE RARE than artists who spit multis and all types of middle rhymes and are always creating rhyme schemes.

The things that Tupac said made people think. Made people smarter. Provided people with an escape from real life struggles for a few minutes. His music made you happy, sad, confident, angry, amped up to fight someone or amped up to make love to your girlfriend.

Rappers with no emotional intent in their lyrics provide a crash course in rhyming words. The funny thing is, most of those listeners can probably rhyme those words and more. At least I definitely feel I can rhyme words for hours of some real respected multis. (The kind that you can't look into a rhyming dictionary and find.)
