Blueprint as #4 of the Decade, MMLP #7?

Postby EminemBase » Jan 9th, '10, 22:38

I just saw Jay-Z's The Blueprint (2001) ranked as #4 album of the decade by Rolling Stone. Okay, that's fine but then... The Marshall Mathers LP (2000) ranked at #7...

So they seriously think The Blueprint is better than The Marshall Mathers LP. "Jigga that Nigga" stacks up against "Stan"? - "Girls, Girls, Girls" beats "The Way I Am"? lol that's bullshit. The Blueprint was a great rap album but The Marshall Mathers LP was like the definition of an era. A cultural milestone.

Eminem even made Jay's album better with one powerhouse of a track, written, produced and slaughtered by him lmao. And they think Jay had the better album. MMLP is easily a better album. Artistically, in ambition, vision, lyrically, production. Better all round.

Its a joke for anyone to say that blueprint is better than the Marshall mathers lp,not in a million years, don't get me wrong, iam a big jay z fan but its no were near it.MMLP had a massive impact on hip hop and sends out messages, what does blueprint do? just bites of biggie's style throughout and him claiming this and that.People are blinded by jay z image. Not to mention renegade was the talk of the album by many people and how em murdered him more so than the album lmao

the world has alot of retarded
They claim that I'm violent, just cause I refuse to be silent
These hypocrites are havin fits, cause I'm not buyin it
Defyin it, envious because I will rebel against
any oppressor, and this is known as self defense
I show no mercy, they claim that I'm the lunatic
But when the shit gets thick, I'm the one you go and get
Don't look confused, the truth is so plain to see
Cause I'm the nigga that you sell-outs are ashamed to be

it's just their opinion, doesn't mean nothing. if there was a poll taken by music listeners for this sorta thing im sure it would be a different story.

Yep. Probably agree. TES is my favourite Eminem album.

Although... I think it's probably right to put MMLP in there if any Em album at all. Just because... I don't know. Something special about it. Really was like turning the World on its head.

They're both classics and imo could swing either way. The bluprint had AMAZING production.

Oh my god. You're right.

I just saw "Tha Carter III" at no.32 whilst TES is at 84.

That is ridiculous.

I WANNAAA LICCCK YOU LIKE A LOLLIPOOOOP - Better than "White America"? or more significant than "Square Dance"

Yeah, I can see what he's done there. Implementing the action of LICKING which would normally be done to a lollipop, to a woman. Wow GENIUS
