Yeah shouldn't be about production though. That comes into it but I think MMLP prod was better anyway but besides the point. Should be more about the content, artistry and impact surely.

Blueprint produced no "Stans", it's nowhere near as lyrical or relevant. It didn't define an era.

Em completely encapsulated the World, everything fucked up in it, poked fun at it, provoked it then sat back and laughed at it on that album. It's an immense piece of art.

Yeah but some things are just too great to be ignored or mistreated if only by silly lists.

It'd be like Die Hard being called a more seminal piece of work than Pulp Fiction. Whilst both great films in their own right... They're just not the same thing lol.

You can't compare the script of Die Hard to Pulp Fiction... It's just not the same sport lmao.

You people do realize that Eminem's music does not appeal to everyone, right? :n:

I'm not talking about the rock heads or people don't even listen to music, but some of the real hip hop heads who's been listening for a while?

But then again, Rolling Stone ain't a real hip hop magazine. :shakehead:

But at least give The Blueprint credit for its production. Kanye's and Blaze's work on that was phenomenal and influenced a shitload of music after wards.

Yeah and you realize that Jay's doesn't either. You could say that about any artist, it's not helpful towards the discussion, just a cop-out.

And if you would read my posts or even just the first one you would see I did give The Blueprint credit. I said it's a great rap album. But it wasn't a cultural milestone and didn't define and era like MMLP.

Also yes the production was awesome. But that's Kanye, not Jay. Kanye is more of an artist than Jay will ever be to me anyway. And the production alone shouldn't put an album that high. You need more than that.

The Eminem Show rapes 808s and Carter 3 fiercely. I'm glad the sales will always reflect this. I hate how the internet is a vehicle for certain ignorant people to share their vioews and this includes brands that used to be respected and may still be in some peoples eyes.

I'm extremely "not-glad" that sales does not reflect skills or Soulja Boy would be on top, but yes, The Eminem Show are superior albums to both Kanye's and Wayne's. :y:
