people hate him bc he wasnt poor... theres a lot of rappers that werent poor that claimed to be poor in order to sell... drake is at least real about it.. i never heard him rap about sellin, carrying guns or killing people cause hes gangsta... and i like that he doesnt act like hes something tht hes not... plus hes got really nice flow and some good punchlines

Chet Starr wrote:Yep they should hate Asher cause of that shitty album, not his great life

Damn his mixtape was dope, but that album was just so meh :shakehead:

Just Silver wrote:Asher is different he was middle class not rich

So if a rapper has a comfortable life growing up, it's okay for him to rap

But if a rapper has a great life growing up, it's not okay

If you don't like the rapper it's fine, but don't judge him on things that isn't in his control

I Try not too but its like an instinct.. overall Drake is okay not my favorite maybe in my top 20

I just don't like the fact he acts like something he's not and gets away with it because he's black lmao.

He's from a good background, was a Canadian actor and suddenly starts using gangsta slang etc. and nobody calls him fake.

Same as Kanye (who I'm a fan of btw) like... Primarily he doesn't do that in his music. But been doing it more and more lately and nobody questions it just because he's black lmao. But he's from a rich background too. Mum was a professor.
