I agree with this Relapse.LP guy about legends..everybody puts legends on their lists just cuz they are legends..I could put Tupac on my list, but not cuz he is great rapper, he is just ok rapper with a lots of material..I like his energy..

It gets irritating when people put these MCs on their top 10 list or whatever, but don't even listen to their albums/songs. I know it's not entirely true, but for the most part, I've seen many two-faced people.

No really. He may not think Rakim is a top 10. Rakim is a pioneer and has had a huge internal influence but just because somebody doesn't agree he's a top 10 doesn't mean everything else they say is wrong. How silly.

@Relapse.LP I'm confused :S, but I didn't mean Rakim was on the list if that's your point.

@Eminembase, That top 10 list is one of the most generic I've ever seen, that paired with how his post was written tells me the exact same thing it told Relapse.LP. So I was basically trying to agree with him, but failed(kinda). So my bad.

Though not mentioning Rakim made it even clearer (IMO) that he just tried to list rappers generally thought of as legends to back up his post about how Eminem is waaaaay better then Jay-Z. But again kinda bad way to reach that conclusion so,sorry

Edit: and no Rakim doesn't necesarily need to be on everyone's top 10 list.

I know, that doesn't really make sense. TES is a better album lyrically... It's more complete, the theme is better realized, it's better production-wise...

They probably just don't want to seem bias but I'm sure they have Kanye's first two in the top 30. TES should definitely be up there.

Yeah I think they have to recognize what he did for music in general, and that's why they choose mmlp, because of what it sold and the controversy shit, at least that's why I think it's always put above or in place of TES, even though I think as a whole real em fans would agree TES was a more solid album
