People is most probably going to end up thinking R2 suck donkey balls no matter how good it is. The expectation is so high the only was people will be satisfied will be if it tops MMLP/TES (depends on which one you like the most).

Here's my prediction.

R2, from a neutral standpoint, is going to be fucking incredible. Especially lyrically. Call his new subjects whack, but nobody can try and say that Eminem isn't the upmost lyrical genius of not only our time, but in history, and right now he is a blossomed flower when it comes to words... We saw his lyrical fire in Relapse - and that was after almost 5 years of not releasing anything seriously. And look at Refill... I have reason to believe that those were just small samples of what is going to come.

However, I fear that most people will have a sort of... Expectation. Now, there's no real specifics about what exactly the album is going to be like, but just like with everything else -- most people are going to have atleast a subconscious idea of what they expect to be on R2.

I, personally, am going to come at it with a neutral standing. I'm going to grab the album, and just chill in my room all night with an open mind. No assumptions.

I encourage everybody else to do the same. And just let the album control how well you think it is. Not your previous expectations and hopes.

If it's as good as it can be, ( just look at the production line-up for this album, even Q-Tip and Primo are rumored to have a beat on it ) ill be happy :y:

Im not expeting another MMLP or SSLP but if he drops the accent, maintains the level of rhyming he had on Relapse, drops the killer content, along with the production line-up, shit thats gotta be a good album :8)

Same sword they knight you they gon' good night you with
Sh.., Thats' only half if they like you
That ain't even the half what they might do
Don't believe me, ask Michael
See Martin, see Malcolm
You see Biggie, see Pac, see success and its outcome
See Jesus, see Judas; see Caesar, see Brutus
See success is like suicide
Suicide, it's a suicide
If you succeed, prepare to be crucified

Not a great way to articulate it but I agree...R2 might not live up to the expectations.

Not might, it simply wont. These people, this "tough crowd" expect a copy, another TES or MMLP. I dont. I want it to be something totally different and completely inovative. Sure, I think of TES as the greatest rap album ever, but... To be honest, I want 10% of TES, 10% of MMLP and 80% of somethin new, and Relapse 2 will blow my mind off. And with more songs with rock samples (Sing For The Moment and shit), but thats just me. :b:
