This is my newest song, "Whispers". I'm pretty stoked about this one, but it's not really a rap song, strictly speaking. It's something more towards psychedelic. So...if that's not your thing, you should still listen, but you might not feel it.

I produced, wrote, recorded, and mixed this one.

Vocals were too loud imo...Outshined the beat too much. I'm def. not into this style, but interesting to see a TR member recording like this. I don't really know this style to be honest, so I can't say anything other than that. Were you supposed to sound bored? For real this is a song I'd expect some twisted subliminal messages in haha. Hook was pretty cool.

Damn Solace, I really appreciate your input. I had given up on anyone posting a reply to this thread, and just checked it on a whim. Yeah, this is sort of a melancholy song, with sort of a psychedelic twist. I could see the twisted subliminal message concern, haha.

I'm listening now for a second time. This definitely has a different feel, but I'm feeling it. It's heavily reminding me of Aesop Rock for some reason, maybe it's your voice. The effects on the whispers part seem a bit overdone, but they work. Your flow on this is sick. I really like the "lost and found, than and now, round and round like cats and mouse,days to months, the moon to sun, we hate, we love, the many, the one " part. I really enjoyed this and think you did a great job on it. *downloads to put on ipod*

It's cool Bar, thanks for checking it. Originally this song had a warning that it wasn't really for rap fans in the thread title, but I ended up taking that off because people weren't giving it a chance. However, you DID give it a chance, and I understand why you didn't like it. Just not your thing.

Rest assured though, I plan to up something to TR that should get the hip hop heads giving approval.

the chorus was awesome and the whole thing was really melodic and layed back

I suppose I'll keep on experimenting then...I've got some more of this type of stuff that I can bring to TR, since at least two people are into it. I'll up some more stuff then within the next week.

Yes, that might not be a bad idea. This type of stuff is well suited for that mindset, I'd say. Thanks for checking it out, Tash, I'm glad that I might have found yet another person that may be into my style!
