I've seen it..years ago, i'm pretty sure there's nothing strange about the ending though from what i remember, although i could be wrong cus like i said it's been years since i've watched it..what exactly don't you get?

Its kind of an open ending, as you can see everyone in the movie is very self absorbed and dont even call his name right so he can get away with it.

yeah i saw it and read the book, I'm pretty sure it can be taken as either, he never did any of that and he is just insane....or he did and realized he is insane at that point, that's how I took it

yeah im pretty sure it was meant to be all in his head...but neverthe less the ending is sposed to get you thinking and questioning reality really....i think...i could be wrong...for all we know i might not even exist.......

my guess is it has to be, and prolly does nothing for the plot, since the story was taking from a well written novel, and brett easton ellis didn't write a sequel, so my guess would be it won't answer any questions, and prolly is whack
