No it was just an iconic performance due to the impact / quality / significance of the song, it being a response to critics and all the manic GLAAD bullshit at the time.

And the fact it's two effective legends together on stage from such different Worlds... Well, not that different actually. But, whatever.

It's good yeah but I think he's done better live performances easily. Such as "Marshall Mathers"... "Business", "Without Me"... Loads.

I like Without Me on the Anger Managment tour.. When they get that blow up Moby and Obie "shoots" it down. Always cracks me up.

The Elton John thing is only remembered becuase of it being so iconic. The performnace was pretty standard, it was only becuase no-one expected it or saw it coming and both put their careers on the lines for it... ("me and Elton/played career russian roulette")
