no i seriously did hear somewhere that those two songs were recorded after most the relapse material,,, and i also heard they were a preview for wat was to come,,, but honestly i know i'm not alone in this,,, i mean i cant explain it but listening to relapse it doesnt seem like his flow and delivery got worse as the cd went by... i mean that makes no sense cause in my darling it talks about him not goin to die his hair blonde and shit... You think the songs were made in 2009. In CWYWF, he talks about The Slim Shady LP to Encore aka. the start of his career until his most recent album. The Slim Shady LP aka his official debut was? 1999.
So my theory and the one which is believed to be true is the song was in 2007.
So to say "eight years later I'm still at it" when the song is about his career and he's just mentioned his first official album which was 1999... It only makes fucking sense that he's in 2007 in that song. 1999 + 8 = 2007. 1999 + does not = 2009. That would be 10.
Also, his hair has been dark for a while not just since 2009. He stopped dying it in 2007, he even said it to Complex that he thought "I'm 35... what the fuck am I doing" in relation to dying his hair blonde. When was he 35? 2007. So again, another indicate of him talking about that in "My Darling".
Also, both songs have his slow, depressive flows like "Beautiful" and they also both have the same, simplistic emotional lyricism.
Do you think it's just chance that they sound totally different from every other Relapse track apart from "Beautiful" which is from 2007? No, it's because all three songs are from 2000 and fucking 7.
You're right his flow did get better. That's why those three songs his flow is unprecise, slow, growly, unfocused and on all the other - 2009 songs, it's very tailored, crafted and sharp. You only think it's "better" on those because he ain't using a fucking 'accent' as people keep calling it. But the flows are worse not better.
That's why they were bonus tracks. They're from his 'drug days' bunch aka 2007. But "Beautiful" was the only one good enough / important enough he felt to put on the album.
"Careful What You Wish For", "My Darling" and "Beautiful" are all from 2007 that's why they all have the same voice / tone, why they're all depressive and all have slow emotional, cloudy lyricism because like he said, everything about him in that time was slow.
It was the peak of his drug addiction and peak of his depression. Reason he made Relapse the way he did was to purposely stray away from self-loathing. That's why all the songs are sarcastic, bouncy and sharp. And obsessed with rhyme not emotion.
Where as those three, his 2007 songs, whilst he was still fucked, are all totally self-loathing. 100% gauranteed they are not from 2009 so can you just admit you are wrong now because if you read this entire post and still deny it you're a fool.
