that's real in germany :D
if an eminem album comes out, it always goes top 3
but other rappers like 2pac, biggie, lil wayne, kanye, jay-z, nas,... can be happy if they reach top 20 ^^
only 50 cent reached top 3 but in 2005/07... (BISD #36  )
I'm only entertaining you
My goal is to stimulate, making you high
And take you and I
To a place you can't see
But I believe you can fly
I don't mean nobody harm, I'm just partying
I'm not your dad, not your mom, not your guardian
Just a man who's on the mic
So let me entertain you...

I used to place Em as my favorite, but lately I've gotten into Pac's shit extensively. I was always turned off when people used to say he was the greatest, like what? He doesn't got the most complex rhyme-schemes, so he can't be THAT good, right? Wrong.

I went through his whole discography, and wow, he is fuckin' amazing. I find myself listening to his shit wayyyy more than Em, too. Just listen to Me Against the World, for me, I don't know how anyone can top that. This dude was way ahead of his time. In the end, I think it depends on what you look for in music. Some dudes will like Em more simply because they relate to him. Some relate to Pac more. I won't go over every single point, because there is no point. But for me, they're tied. If you want hardcore lyrics/punchlines, go listen to Slaughterhouse, but understand that sick rhymes aren't everything.

For me, it's all about if the music is easy on my ears. I don't give a fuck if it's Lady Gaga or Elvis, if my ears like it, I like it. I never understood people who are like "I'M SO HARDCORE, I LISTEN TO UNDERGROUND SHIT YEAAAA, WICKED SHIT". Fuck outta here with that shit. I don't give a fuck how poetic and complex the lyrics are on Relapse, the shit makes my ears bleed.

ALSO, I'd rather take real rappers like Nas, Jay, Big, and Pac over a gimmick like "Slim Shady". Thank god Em showed he had the skills to transform into anything he wanted. He overcame that shit, "applaud em".

Eminem >> Tupac !

I really laugh when i think of a rap battle b/w Eminem & 2Pac. Eminem w'd hv kicked pac's A$$ out ! :D

Eminem has the BEST Flow, nice lyrics, a very complex rhyme scheme, Lyrical energy.

(I say, the best way 2 experience Eminem's lyrics is to listen to the underground album "The Freestyle Show[1997]" consisting of around 45 freestyles by Eminem.)

2Pac TOO does have all that Eminem has but of course not as good as him. n yeah, i have heard enough songs of Pac/Big/Nas and other rappers to make the judgment.

Eminem on the other hand hasnt YET rapped on a variety of topics. Most of the contents being Violence,Drugs,Celebrities & his own family. 2pac, BIG, Nas are way ahead of Eminem when it comes to Themes, thats the only portion where Eminem lacks. Else, in everything else Eminem is the BEST! :8)

I've heard many ppl say Eminem lyrics are not that good. I say, dont judge his lyrical talents from his commercial Raps ( Studio Albums), Listen to more Underground stuff ( The Freestyle Show [1997] ) That's it !

I always try and broaden my horizon music wise, especially hip-hop. If I'm not familiar with a rapper, I will download their entire discography and check them out in detail :y:

It seems alot of people on here are just comfortable listening to Eminem only...

I haven't heard enough Tupac to make a fair judgement (only listened to All Eyez On Me and the song Changes) but the Tupac songs I have heard are just so emotional. He would never make shitty songs like Fack or Big Weenie... I think Eminem has a lot of songs that are better than all of Tupacs, but he also has a LOT of songs that are a LOT worse.

Okay, think whatever you like, but why are you on an Eminem forum if you don't even like him? Sounds to me like you don't, especially the "gimmick like Slim Shady" part. If you think that, you probably didn't like him from the beginning, since he's been Slim Shady since 98-99. And Jay a REAL rapper? He's as fake as they come, he fell off since American Gangster. At least Encore, Shady's worst album, was a decent rap album. All Jay does is brag about himself, he gives a shit about no one but money. That's how it is. I like some of Jay's music, but to say he's a more "real" rapper than Eminem is an insult to hip-hop fans, it's like you just slapped hip-hop in the face with that statement. Eminem is more real today than he's ever been, he's rapping about what he wants to rap about, and Relapse is the least mainstream album he's ever made, except We Made You and Beautiful, all the rest of the songs are too explicit for radio. Even 3AM is not proper for radio, really. Relapse slaughters BP3, every song is so much better than Jay's songs on that album, BP3 is weak and a true representation of a rapper who sold out. Nas, Big, and Pac are about the only people close to Em's level, but Jay is nowhere near it, I'm sorry, but that's fact. Get out of this forum if you don't like Eminem, seriously, you're retarded if you stay in here and just bag on him

I've always been listening 2pac's various songs which have a repeat value...But I still have to say that 2pac is a little bit overrated these days...He is a legend, yes, and there are nice song concepts and everything...But technically and musically I really have to say that Eminem is number one in hip hop... Even in his worst he is better than most of the rappers...
