Question about 'Tech N9ne - Turn'

Alright, I have a question. To everyone who has listened to Turn by Tech N9ne, as you know at the end of the third verse he reveals the song is actually about himself. Which leads me to ask...

Did someone else originally write this song but was unable to put it out for whatever reason, Tech got a hold of it and decided to do it? Or was he just going for the concept of him writing to himself about the pains he made others face in life?

Thank you for any input, as I have wondered this for years, and cannot find any information on it.
