Mikey1990 wrote:When MTV News spoke to Travis Barker on Friday, he was pretty much in the dark about his Grammy-night performance with Lil Wayne, Drake and Eminem, saying, "I'm not exactly sure what I'm doing yet."
So on Sunday night, immediately following that performance, he was pretty amazed — not to mention a bit relieved — that they had all managed to pull it off.
"Aw man, it was so fun," Barker said. "They're all professionals. I think we went through the song one time all together — that was it — and everyone nailed their part. It was real cool, man, to work with such talented people."
With only one rehearsal under their belts, the fabulous foursome managed to turn in one of the standout performances of Grammy night, roaring through versions of Wayne's "Drop the World" and Drake's "Forever." Part of that was due to their professionalism, to be sure, but a lot of it also had to do with the fact that Barker knows Em, Weezy and Drake pretty well. After all, he's worked with them in the past.
"Part of [the performance] was my remix [of Drake's "Forever,"]" Barker said. "But I know all of those guys. Over the summer, when I was on tour, I was in Detroit for a day, and I went in and did a song with Eminem for my record. We did a track together, and he's doing lyrics now, so I got to work with him in his studio, but this was the first time I got to play with him.
"And with Wayne, we had just run into each other a bunch of times in the past," he continued. "I did some drums for something on Cash Money, and he traded me a verse for my album."
Both Em and Wayne will appear on Barker's upcoming solo album, which he said might be called Can the Drummer Get Some? That's also the name of a song he recorded with Weezy, Swizz Beatz and Rick Ross, which Barker says may very well be the first single.

LMFAO, if that's soon, I'm Lil Wayne's Stan.

?? That's the official date... He also just put out a mixtape today titled: "May 25th" to hype up the release date of the album.

He's saying that it's not "soon", meaning May 25th is still quite far away.
Don't everybody get tripped up on it at once now...
