Amazon Changes Relapse 2 Release Date

I pre-ordered Relapse 2 from amazon in January as it originally said a Feb release, mid-January they changed the release date to early March before taking it off the site completly, the email I recieved today is...

I wanted it much earlier than May, it's only estimated for the 5th cause I went for cheap delivery so it takes a few days, so will prob be 1st of May.

Most likely going to be a May release date now, probably exactly 1 year on from Relapse 1.

they probably don't. but the original email I received mid January was :

it's jumped a couple months to May,rather than just a month so there might be something in it.

I have a sneaky suspicion Amazon knows ish about the R2 date. At one time it was November 17th, then February 1st, then March 1st. IF it is May, then we may be geting the official date next month since that's what occured with Relapse.

Yeah, it seems like they're just estimating or guessing on what it is and don't really know much more than the rest of us. Hopefully though the fact that they're "guessing" dates is a sign that we'll know the date soon.

Every online store keeps trying to guess the release dates and then has to change them.

I'm pretty sure it is or should be illegal for them to do that as you're ordering a product with them telling you it will be available by X when they have absolutely no idea and then change it to Y.

It's selling under false pretenses.

I dont know guys, amazon is like the biggest retail website i america...or the planet. Everyone knows what amazon is.

Wasnt amazon like one of the first sites to start selling stuff anyways? that or buy.com. I just remember all them commercials when I was 8 or 10 or some shit where the people are like
"yeah, but is it safe" then the guy in the background is like "INDEED" ...then "amazon.com"

im getting off topic...the point is. This site is probably in touch with all the big labels and the labels give these sites estimated dates because, well, amazon.com probably pushes a huge majority of the albums itself. They're working together because its business...so, if it keeps getting pushed back, dont say amazon has the wrong dates....say eminem is still working on that shit so the label is pushin it back more.

It was like a week ago that someone said they had just heard 5 new tracks that he made.

Someone else on this forum said something along the lines of - Hes probably just in that zone where hes making music non stop and it keeps sounding better and better so he'll scrap a track he doesnt like as much as one he just did.

The only problem with that shit is, theres probably going to be a full cd of shit thats dope as fuck that we'll never get to hear. Unless .... R2:Refill on them hoes!!!


Also - When a label keeps pushing back the dates a couple months at a time...Its a marketing scheme to keep people interested. If last october they told us not to expect it till may, noody would be talking about it or "anticipating it"....but keeping the date a couple months in the future at all times it keeps people like everyone here on this forum talking about it and waiting for it or....anticipating it.
And anticipation is what helps the first week sales of an album. If an album is highly anticipated then every store in america is going to stock up on it, that helps the first week sales of an album.

For instance look at 50's before i self destruct. That album went gold without selling enough copies, thats because the stores bought the 500,000....even though the people didnt. Sales of an album are not so much people going out and buying the album, its vendors stocking up for the first time and then having to restock up before the week is through.
