Stillmatic isn't even a definite classic, IMO. More like 4.5/5 for its creativity.

As Premo said, Nas needs to choose his beats more wisely. :y:
Yo, from the first to the last of it; delivery is passionate/
The whole and not the half of it; vocab and not the math of it/
Projectile that them blasted with; accurate assassin shit/
Me and Kweli close like... Bethlehem and Nazareth/

Yea Nas' beats are always lacking...except on "Hip Hop Is Dead"...all those beats were banging...I think if he did better beats he would be more marketable

Stillmatic and It was written were definetely both classic albums.

It was written was ridiculously good follow up to Illmatic, and it a lot of ways it was better than Illmatic.

Stillmatic is also a classic album, because Nas returned to his roots and packed an album full of
old school references, with subtle interpolated lines from Hip-Hop’s best era.

Nas has had 3 classic albums, with 2 pushing towards classic status as well - God's son and Hip Hop is Dead. Other than I am and Nastradmous which were embarassing, Nas has never disappointed.
The New York Times - "Lloyd Banks may have stealthily become the most important rapper in New York".

"N" dissappointed me...and Street Disiple had too many fillers...had about one disc of good material...idk why he felt he had to double up

It was Written is a classic, bar a few weaker beats that was Nas at his peak, Stillmatic minus a few tracks was weak imo, too many tracks contradict themselves on there, doesn't feel like a complete album either

Common is another emcee with a great discog, Resurrection, Be, Like Water For Chocolate are all classics, Electric Circus and One Day It'll all Make Sense are close
Same sword they knight you they gon' good night you with

That ain't even the half what they might do
Don't believe me, ask Michael
See Martin, see Malcolm
You see Biggie, see Pac, see success and its outcome
See Jesus, see Judas; see Caesar, see Brutus
See success is like suicide
Suicide, it's a suicide
If you succeed, prepare to be crucified
